Singapore: New information on recruitment practices required for employment pass applications

December 2017

With immediate effect, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is requiring employers to provide additional recruitment-related information when submitting their candidate’s employment pass (EP) application to the MOM. These questions include whether the job opportunity was advertised on other recruitment channels apart from Jobs Bank, the number of applicants who reached the various stages of application process for the job with a clear breakdown of the number of Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Residents (SPRs), and foreigners, and whether the company had considered other candidates for the job.

This additional request for information affects all EP applications filed on or after November 10, 2017. MOM may request more details from companies as needed.
